Tests, Examinations, and Promotions

Unit tests and mid-term tests will be conducted regularly in all the subjects in the portions taught and at the end of every term centralised terminal examination are conducted as per schedule.

The answer scripts of students from IV to XII will be sent to the parents through their wards for their perusal and signature. These scripts have to be signed by the parents or guardians and should be returned intact within 3 days and kept in the respective files in the classrooms.

The answer scripts of students below IV may be obtained by the parents from the school and returned after perusal.

Pupils who absent themselves for examinations without proper reason will be considered as having failed. Pupils who absent themselves from any examination for any reason whatsoever will not be re-examined.

The scheme of evaluation for promotion will be not only on the basis of the student’s performance in the Annual Examination but also on the performance of the pupil throughout the year. Tests and Examinations will be conducted throughout the year, and the progress will be intimated periodically to the parent/guardian by way of the progress cards.

No pupil will be promoted unless he or she obtains the required marks in each individual subject in the Annual Examinations. However, if necessary, the case of pupils who do not obtain this percentage will be considered by the promotion committee on the results of the other two Terminal Examinations and the general performance throughout the year with reference to the general guidelines fixed by the promotion committee.

Parents should co-operate by coaching their children in the subjects in which they secure low grades in the monthly and terminal examinations. No appeals will be entertained after the promotion lists are published.
